Friday Kadence's daycare called and said she was running a little fever. So I went and picked her up and she spent the rest of the day with me at work. I figured she just had a lil bug from one of the kids at school. Well, over the weekend she started feeling worse. By late Sunday her fever had hit 104. I gave her some ibuprophen and told her I would take her to the doctor first thing in the morning! Well, Monday morning rolls around and she wakes up with the horrible rash all over her body. I freaked! Rushed her to the doctor. The doctor said she had scarlet fever and strep throat. Scarlet fever?? I didn't know that still existed. Kind of shocked, we left the doctor and filled her prescription. She has been at home for 2 days now and seems to be doing better. The fever has gone and the rash is still there but not near as bad as it was. She is starting to eat more and be more active. Poor girl. With a few more days taking it easy, she will be back and ready to go!
