Ok, so yet again I am way behind on blogging. The picture to the right is of my Aunt Sissy and Kadence at a play we recently went to. We went to see the "Christmas Story" at AC. I was a little worried how Kadence would do. She actually sat there pretty quietly for the most part. She even clapped between each scene. I really enjoyed being able to spend sometime with my Aunt and Grandmother. I look forward to making this a Christmas tradition.

Dumb blonde

Ok so I am officially not a blonde anymore! I colored my hair last night. I think this is the first time ever that I haven't had blonde hair! Let me know what you think!

Ok, as promised, here are just a couple of the pictures from the fair. Kadence had a blast this year. I think she rode every ride in Kiddie Land. She also got her face painted. O, and they had a little monkey out there, so of course she HAD to have her picture made with him!

On to Friday.

So Friday we got up and ate some breakfast, then decided to go watch some qualifying. It was really cool because there wasn't too many people there and we got to see most of the drivers. For those of you who don't know, top fuel dragster and funny cars are extemly loud. They shake your body as the go by... so this was going to be a test to see how Kadence was going to do on Sunday. She did fine! It kind of spooked her at first but as the day went on she didn't even notice any more. (Plus she was wearing ear phones the whole time!)

I am back~ Here are some more pictures from Thurday. We went and watched some races Thursday also. They weren't any of the big cars just some old camaro's and mustang's. Kadence really enjoyed watching the cars. We also went to SpeedZone later that day...

Thursday

Ok lets start off with Thursday.. These are pictures when we first got into the camp ground. We were one of the first people there, so we got a pretty good spot. We were right next to the fence by the pit area. Which was good because we didn't have to walk that far to get inside the gates!

Lots of pictures coming....

We went to Dallas this past weekend to the NHRA races down there. We had a blast. We left Wednesday night around 9:30 and got to Ennis around 4:30 in the morning. The campgrounds opened up at 8, so we slept in the Wal-Mart parking lot until then! LOL. Camping down there was a blast! I wasn't too sure at first how it was going to turn out....but it turned out good. Thursday we went into Dallas and went to SpeedZone. Friday and Saturday we watched qualifying . Saturday evening, my good friend Misty and her husband came down and stayed with us. Then Sunday it was off to the big race. We headed out early Monday morning to come home. It was good to be back! I will post all the pictures through out a couple of posts. I also have pictures of the fair I need to put on here.

The Shack

I am currently reading "The Shack" by William P. Young. I cannot put this book down. I encourage everyone to read this book. I found the book while I was shopping at Sam's. And I say I found the book, but actually someone found it for me. A lady approached me while I was looking at the book selection. She said, "If you are looking for something to read, let this be what you read." I was a little unsure at first, but I decided to purchase the book and give it a shot. Boy am I glad I did. I think she was meant to find me and tell me to read this book. I have been questioning so many things in the past months. So many thoughts and questions... so little trust. I am finding it in reading this book. It is a fictional book, but it makes a point. I hope you will read this book. I know I am glad I am. Just thought I would let yall know! Have a great day!

Queen of the camera!

Well, Aunt Sissy is right, I am the Queen of the camera! I had no idea how many pictures I had on our camera. I sat down last night and uploaded all the pictures from our THREE memory cards onto my computer... I had over 800 pictures on those cards. Who knew? I have pictures of EVERYTHING! I could probably make a day-to-day book of Kadence with all the pictures I have of her... Heres Kadence waking up, heres Kadence getting dressed, etc. LOL. I love pictures though. It is the best way to capture a moment and hold onto it forever.

Happiness

These are a few things that are making me happy today....

1. Kadence's results came back from her MRI... they didn't find anything wrong with her precious little head! =)

2. I paid my car off yesterday! I am now officially the proud owner of a 2003 Chevy Impala! This may seem funny to some, but it makes me feel soooo good!

3. Jacob.. he just makes me happy. He is such an awesome guy. He loves Kadence and I so much. He has made our life so great!

4. My family- they are the best!

5. My daughter. She lights up my life. I never knew love until her.

6. My new work hours! I am now going to be working from 8:30- 5:30. Yay!

Yesterday Kadence had her MRI done in Lubbock. It went pretty well.
She was all excited to take a "ride" in the bed! (As you can see in the pic
to the right!) We got the results back today and everything is PERFECT!

A T T I T U D E

Ok, everyone said " You think 2 is bad wait until she is 3". I just laughed.. yea right. What can be worse than the "terrible" two's? Well, I now have the answer. Its is 3! Since turning three she has developed this attitude about everything. I ask her to do something simple like pick up her shoes. And her response to this is " EXCUSE ME?" Along with that is her hip stuck out with her hand on it and a head wobble. I just look at her... where is this coming from..... She has also developed the "temper tantrum" thing perfectly. She has gotten the hang of throwing herself down on the floor and pouting. Or she throws down her hands, slumps her shoulders and cries... " momma why..."But along with all of this attitude and fit throwing is some cuteness also. Her new saying is " That's what I'm talkin 'bout!" hahaha... every time she gets a snack or something she wants she says that! Its the funniest thing. And you ask where she got this from? Jacob. Also, she has had many lives in the past apparently. We were outside the other day with Ebony (my dog) and she says " when I was a dog, I would drink my water out of a bowl too!" Then one day after washing her hands she says " when I was a momma and you were a baby, I would pick you up and wash your hands!" I just have to laugh at her. She cracks me up! She is growing up so fast. I cannot believe she will be 4 next year. And then a year after that she starts school! Wow. Where does all the time go?

Deep inside

I just want to write a few things to get them off my chest. The past day or so has been extremly hard for some reason. Nothing has really happened but I feel this loneliness setting in my chest. I miss my mom. I miss being able to pick up the phone when I had a bad day and complain to her. I feel like the world is spinning so fast around me..... I don't know how many times I have picked up my phone and then just sat it back down... I can no longer call her. I feel so empty inside but yet at the same time I feel as if I am about to explode. Who is going to fill that void... who do I call... I don't think anyone can take her place...If only I had one more day... just one. I could tell her thank you, I am sorry, I love you, I need you.....but I can't. I hope she knows. Kadence is growing so fast. I have no one to guide me.. Who do I ask the silly questions... Like is this normal for a 3 year old? I miss her so much... I need her.

EEG

Also, today Kadence had her EEG done at BSA. We went around 7 this morning. She had all these little things attatched to her little head. The picture kind of shows the ones on the sides. They wrapped her whole head in a bandage. She was such a trooper though. She sat there for 2 hrs with those on her head. She did really well. We watched a lot of cartoons! I have to make an appointment with a neurologist in Lubbock for the results. I will let everyone know what the results are!
